Like many great things, it started in a pub.
After one meeting, Lukas, Alex and Sam set off to build a studio. Sam already had the desk — they just needed somewhere to put it. Then they found The Hawthorns in Staunton: a perfect little getaway in rural Gloucestershire. Nearly a year of building later, it was ready.
Out of the way on a working farm, it feels isolated in the best sense — nothing from outside creeping in, just you and the song.
The people
Started out on guitar, touring the country with his band The Cigarette Social Club. Now producing and engineering at the farm, deep into synth production and a big part of ideas and development.
Drummer turned guitarist and pianist, recording and mixing since he was 13. Away from the farm he does broadcast sound for BBC, ITV, Channel 4, DAZN, TNT, PFL and more.
Sax, guitar, bass, drums and plenty more. A University of Gloucestershire graduate who plays in many bands — you can hear his sax with Dubcatalyst. Works across projects of every genre.
